Two-vehicle crash on A228 Whetsted Road, Paddock Wood

A person has been airlifted to hospital following a crash between a van and a car.
Two patients are being treated following the collision at around 7.45am today.
Firefighters cut the roof off a vehicle to release a trapped person.
Drivers are advised to check traffic updates for the A228 Whetsted Road, in Paddock Wood, due to congestion following the accident.
The ambulance service said one person has been taken to Tunbridge Wells Hospital, while a second person was airlifted to St George’s Hospital in London.
As of 9.40am, the fire service confirmed it had left.
The ambulance service says it was called to the accident before 8am and currently has crews providing medical treatment at the scene.
