Headcorn: Smarden Road closed following crash

Smarden Road near Headcorn has been closed after a head-on crash between two cars.
The collision happened around 2.30pm just outside East Dean Kennels and Cattery. The road is blocked up until the junction with Love Lane.
Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to free two women trapped in one of the cars.
Two ambulances and a paramedic car also attended the scene and a woman was taken to William Harvey Hospital in Ashford with chest and back pain.
Yesterday afternoon police were called to a separate crash on the A274 Biddenden Road.A man in his 20s was taken via air ambulance to St George's Hospital, London with serious injuries.
