Headcorn: Lenham Road closed after van hits telegraph pole

A road in Headcorn has reopened after a man driving a van hit an electricity pole.
Police were called to Lenham Road shortly after 5.30am and closed the road between Ulcombe Lane and Baker Lane.
Nine homes were left without power for a short period while UK Power Network engineers carried out repairs and made the scene safe.
Motorists are being diverted by North Street, Station Road, Wheeler Street, Oak Lane, Grigg Lane and Baker Lane.
Paramedics were not called and the driver is thought to have escaped without injury.
The road remains reopened shortly after 1pm.
