A car hit a telegraph pole in Goudhurst, causing the road to be closed while the pole was fixed

Police had to close a road today after a car hit a telegraph pole.
The accident happened on the A262 Cranbrook Road at Goudhurst.
The driver, a 19-year-old woman, and her 21-year-old passenger were safely out of the car by the time fire crews were on the scene.
They were checked by paramedics but were uninjured.
Firefighters set up a cordon, due to the damaged electrical cable and pole and police closed the road while UK Power Networks made the scene safe.
