Marden Road, Staplehurst shut after crash

A country road was shut for several hours after a crash, which left a little boy seriously hurt.
Police were called to Marden Road in Staplehurst after the accident between Lindridge Lane and Pagehurst Road.
A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 5.16pm on Wednesday 18 January, 2017, regarding a report that a car had struck a tree in Marden Road, Staplehurst.
"Police officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service went to the scene where it was reported a young child had serious injuries. The child was taken by air ambulance to a London hospital for treatment."
