Sainsbury's van targeted while in The Cockpit, Marden

A Sainsbury's home delivery van was targeted by a group of teenagers while the driver was distracted.
Three teenagers struck yesterday at 1.15pm while the vehicle was parked in The Cockpit, Marden, but it not known whether anything was stolen.
Villagers reported that the vehicle was a Sainsbury's van. The supermarket has been contacted for comment.
A spokesman for Kent Police said: "Officers are investigating a suspected theft from a van at around 1.15pm on Thursday 16 April while it was parked in The Cockpit, Marden. It is reported three teenage boys got into the vehicle while the driver, who was making deliveries for a supermarket, was distracted."
It is not known if anything was stolen and anyone with information should call Kent Police on 01622 604100, quoting crime reference 46/65854/20.
