Police continue to search near a railway track in Hastings as part of search for Alexandra Morgan

Police are spending a third day searching near a railway track in Hastings as part of their search for a missing mum from Sissinghurst.

Mum-of-two Alexandra Morgan, 34, was last seen at a petrol station near her home on the morning of Remembrance Sunday, November 14.

On Sunday, an East Sussex man, who lives in St-Leonards-On-Sea man was charged with her murder, but police are still searching for Ms Morgan.

For a third day, officers cordoned off an area close to a railway track near Hastings, with a large number of police vans on site.

On Wednesday, British Transport Police officers were searching areas of land near the train line, with dogs also present.

On Tuesday, a country lane nearby was closed off by forensic crews and police as part of the search.

They searched an area near to Westfield including locations close to Rock Lane as part of their work.

Sevenoaks Weald, in Kent, has also been searched and yesterday, forensic crews were seen at Ms Morgan's home.

At around 5pm yesterday, a forensics van was seen on Morleys Road in Sevenoaks Weald, also believed to be connected with the investigation.

Ms Morgan's vehicle is known to have travelled between her home and the Hastings area between Sunday, November 14 and Monday, November 15.

Mark Brown, 40, of Squirrel Close, St-Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex, was charged on Sunday with her murder.

On Tuesday, Brown appeared at Lewes Crown Court, and was remanded to appear before the court in February.
