Police are investigating a suspicious blaze which took hold at garages and workshops in East Peckham.

Fire crews were called to the site in Hale Street at around 5.20pm last night.

They used breathing apparatus and water jets to bring the fire under control.

Several single-storey buildings were involved, as well as a number of vehicles.

There are no reports of any injuries, but the fire is being treated as suspicious.
