More details have emerged about two people killed in a crash on New Year's Eve.
The double tragedy happened when a blue Mercedes travelling towards Maidstone smashed into a tree on Linton Hill in Marden, at the junction with Stilebridge Lane.
Emergency services were called shortly before 11pm, but the driver and passenger could not be saved.
Police have now confirmed the victims were two men, a 36-year-old from Bexhill and a 37-year-old from Battle, East Sussex. They died at the scene.
Their families have been told.
Detectives are continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward.
The two men are now the sixth and seventh people to die in accidents on this stretch of road in five years.
