A woman in her 60s was tied up for two days before being discovered after a terrifying burglary ordeal in her home.
Police are hunting a suspect after the woman was tricked by a man at her home, near Maidstone.
A man claiming to be a cyclist showed up at a fence outside her home asking for some water, but after being given a bottle he jumped over the fence and forced her inside the property.
He then allegedly stole money and valuables belonging to the woman before assaulting and restraining her before leaving.
Officers attended the victim's house, on Tuesday at around 7.30pm after friends of the woman became concerned they couldn't get in contact with her.
She was found inside still restrained from the burglary, which happened on Easter Sunday, and was taken to hospital where she is now recovering.
The suspect is a slim 5ft 10in white man in his 20s to 30s with a local accent who was wearing black trainers, a black top and black gloves.
'The victim has endured a harrowing and traumatic ordeal...'
DCI Neil Kimber said: "The victim has endured a harrowing and traumatic ordeal and we are appealing to members of the public to help us find the person responsible.
"If you saw anyone acting suspiciously please don’t hesitate to contact us."
It is the second incident of its type in the same area within a month, and the fourth in a year, following burglaries in Paddock Wood and Marden.
