Soul legend Alexander O’Neal is performing an intimate gig at Banks in Maidstone.
The American singer rose to fame in the 1980s with hits including club classics Criticise and Fake and romantic ballad If You Were Here Tonight. He still performs around the world.
Back in the 1970s, his band, Flyte Tyme, provided backing for Prince, but the soul star went solo in the 1980s. He remains the only African-American performer to sell out six nights at Wembley Arena.
Support will be provided by veteran soul and funk DJs Greg Edwards and Jeff Young.
The event is taking place in Bank Street from 8pm to 2am on Saturday, September 14.
Tickets are £25. Call 01622 676799 or visit www.wegottickets.com
