Party like it’s the 1990s this summer as popstar Peter Andre headlines the Gravesham Riverside Festival.

The outdoor festival, which takes place at the Gravesend Promenade, returns to the town with another jam-packed line-up.

The festival overlooks the river, with great views over to Tilbury and the surrounding areas, and will host a number of musical performances, including headliner Peter Andre.

Best known for his ‘90s singles, such as Number 1 hits Mysterious Girl, Flava and I Feel You, the British-Australian singer has been a familiar face in the charts and on television for more than three decades.

He found tabloid fame after entering the jungle for the third season of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here in 2004, where he met fellow reality star Katie Price.

The two began a relationship outside of the I’m a Celebrity camp, during which time they married and had two children together, Junior and Princess.

The pair and their family also starred in a number of fly-on-the-wall reality shows under the Katie and Peter franchise, including Katie and Peter: The Baby Diaries and Katie and Peter: The Next Chapter.

The free festival will also see performances from tribute acts such as Elite Elton and ABBA Revival, as well as many local bands.

Each year, the Riverside Festival also includes children’s activities, sports games, craft stalls and food and drink stands.

This year’s festival has been postponed since 2020 due to the pandemic.

The last time that the festival welcomed visitors was in 2019, which saw ‘00s group Liberty X stop off in the town for their headline set.

Gravesham Riverside Festival takes place at Gravesend Promenade on Saturday, July 30 from 10am to 6pm. The festival is free and no booking is required. Find out more online here.
