Cranbrook Apple Fair with the Red Barrows, apple pressing and street food

06:00, 02 October 2019

They’re a slightly eccentric bunch in Cranbrook - and it can make for some fun events.

The annual Cranbrook Apple Fair is back this weekend with the Red Barrows putting on a show in the high street.

This year’s event, on Saturday, October 5 in the High Street, has the theme Vikings and Hippies and promises to be as wacky as ever.

There will be local cider stalls and apple pressing, as well as street food and live entertainment will include everything from buskers and morris dancing, to the Croydon Steel Orchestra, Rybellion Drummers and hippy music.

There will also be stilt walkers mingling in with the crowds and there will be prizes for the best dressed hippy or viking, provided by the Rare Breeds Centre and Cranbrook Operatic and Dramatic Society.
