Tickets went on sale this morning for the event which will see thousands of revellers enjoy two days of music, rides and partying in celebration of Dreamland's 100th birthday.
In anticipation of Hi-Tide we met up with Suggs and Norman Cook aka Fatboy Slim, to find out if they're as excited as us.
Speaking about when he was approached to play Suggs said: "The first thing I thought when I was approached was - well, I am a vintage theme park and I'm in a vintage theme park band."
Fatboy then chipped in: "It's always been on my bucket and spade list."
The pair are looking forward to performing at the same festival together.
Suggs said: "We've known each other for all our professional lives but not played together since 1985.
"We have lots of parallels really - we both want people to just have a good time, dance, sing and let yourself go - and what better place to do it than in Margate."
Fatboy Slim will headline the show on Saturday, July 4, when Jax Jones, Hannah Wants and Riton will also be performing.
On Sunday, July 5, Madness will take to the stage, followed by Rudimental, Baxter Dury, Gentleman's Dub Club and Hollie Cook.
Fatboy hopes the crowds will be a "nice mix of fans and locals".
Suggs added: "That's what I love, people out in the sunshine, just taking a chance on you and thinking, this could be a great weekend."
The 59-year-old lead singer is unsure whether he has played in Margate before but says he may have done during a seaside tour in the 1970s.
He also revealed his wife's family are from Whitstable so he visits the count often. Fatboy and Suggs both love the Sportsman at Seasalter, which recently came second in the Estrella Damm Top 50 Gastropubs awards.
Speaking about what people can expect from their performances at Hi-Tide, Fatboy said he was going for a "sense of abandonment".
He said: "People can just abandon their inhabitions - you come to Margate to loose yourself."
Suggs added: "What goes on in Margate stays in Margate - do what you like."
A day admission ticket gives festival-goers access to the whole site with unlimited rides, plus all the bands and artists for the entire day.
Saturday or Sunday (individual day tickets) cost £72.50 each plus a booking fee.
A weekend tickets cost £130 plus a booking fee.
