Eighties stars ABC will perform in the county this summer.

They will play as special guests for Tears for Fears when the band plays at the Spitfire Ground in Canterbury on Sunday, June 23.

Tickets are on sale today for the double dose of 80s talent at the Kent County Cricket Club.

ABC, led by charismatic singer Martin Fry, helped kick-start the 80s with their own brand of pop, fusing the world of disco funk with their own New Romantic post-punk sound.

On its release in May 1982, their debut album The Lexicon of Love stormed the charts at No.1, with hit songs Tears Are Not Enough, Poison Arrow, The Look Of Love and All Of My Heart.

Numerous albums followed, including Beauty Stab, How To Be A Zillionaire, Alphabet City, Up, Skyscraping and Lexicon Of Live, wth its live renditions of their debut, The Lexicon Of Love.

In 2016 they went on to release The Lexicon Of Love II, their Top 5 hit album and Record of the Week on BBC Radio 2.

They join Tears For Fears - Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith - who have sold more than 30 million albums worldwide and enduring hits including Everybody Wants To Rule The World, Shout and Mad World.

Early bird tickets for the outdoor, standing concert, cost £32.50 plus a booking fee, or £50 on the day. Golden Circle tickets cost £60 plus a booking fee and £70 on the day. Under 16s need to be accompanied by an adult.
