Point-to-point racing in Kent for Easter 2016 at Charing and Aldington
14:00, 22 March 2016
Get to the point this weekend with a family-friendly day out at Charing.
The point-to-point season continues at the course on Saturday, March 26.
The track, at the foot of Charing Hill, will be holding six races with the first race at 2pm and the day's final action at 4.55pm.
Take cash with you to cover entry fees and a racecard – splashing out at the bookies is totally optional.
You can reach the racecourse from the Faversham Road, where there is parking.
There will also be a bar, food and activities for children including a bouncy castle. Dogs on leads are welcome.
Also in the county, there's another point-to-point meeting this weekend, at Aldington, near Ashford, on Easter Monday. Both meetings start at 2pm with several horses entered at both tracks, as connections ponder over decisions on when and where to race.
Admission at Charing is £20 per car, £10 for single occupancy and £5 for walk-ups at the gate. Meanwhile, at Aldington, prices are £10 per person with under-16s free.
