Mentally astute? Physically fit? Prepared to put your body on the line? If that's three straight yeses then a new event launch this weekend could be for you.

The Betteshanger Challenge will see participants from across the county given a series of demanding missions which only the strongest will survive.

If you're up for the challenge, you will need to take part as teams of two, undertaking a series of strategic tests with the aim of completing the missions within the allotted time. They could be mountain biking or running to checkpoints where you must solve puzzles and crack codes.

Quick thinking is essential, as well as planning and working together.

The challenge will be followed with an awards ceremony and evening barbecue.
