Oktoberfest-inspired Wünder Harbour beer festival returns to Folkestone Harbour this autumn

A seaside beer festival is bringing Germany to the Kent coast this autumn.
After a successful first year last September, the Wünder Harbour returns to Folkestone for three weekends of Bavarian booze and Oompah music.
The event, inspired by Munich’s Oktoberfest, will see the coastal town’s harbour taken over by steins, sausages and singalongs.
Organisers have expanded the festival for this year and will have even more activities, live music and food and drink for visitors - and the best part is, it’s all free to enter.
Visitors can don their lederhosen and turn up on the day to indulge in everything the Wünder Harbour has to offer.
There will be performances from the Bettesteiner Footstompers Oompah Band, who also appeared at the festival last year, as well as DJs and music playing throughout the day.
There will also be speciality drinks and Bavarian beers as well as menu items with an authentic German twist.
“Wünder Harbour was new to our events line-up in 2023, and it proved to be a massive hit,” says Folkestone Harbour’s Paulo Kingston-Corriea. “It’s a great, fun way to bring people together with our own unique twist on a well-known Bavarian holiday and kick off the autumn and winter events season down here at Folkestone Harbour.”
The festival takes place on three weekends - Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, September 22; Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, September 29; and Saturday, October 5 and Sunday, October 6.
