It's winter, it's raining and the summer festival festival season seems a LONG way away. What's a music fan craving their fix to do?
Assuming you haven't go the time or money to head Down Under, there's an alternative option in the UK that guarantees good line-ups and a rain-free experience.
The Rockaway Beach festival at Butlin's in Bognor is now in its fifth year, and has earned a stellar reputation for attracting big-name headliners from the alternative music scene alongside up-and-coming acts.
This year's festival runs from January 10 to 12 with all bookings coming complete with either hotel or chalet accommodation.
Headliners include John Cale, who found fame as a founder member of the Velvet Underground before forging an idiosyncratic solo career that has taken in everything from punk to piano ballads.
The following night is headlined by The Jesus and Mary Chain. Few people who witnessed their explosive 15-minute gigs back in the mid-80s would have expected them to still be going strong with elder statesman status - in 2020.
The third headliners are Fontaines DC, who released their debut album in April. The Dubliners look set to headline plenty more festivals in coming years.
Elsewhere on the bill you can find Margate's own Self-Esteem, who featured in plenty of end of year album polls, alongside pool parties, pop quizzes and film screenings.
Prices depending on your choice of accommodation, with full details available at the Rockaway Beach website.
