Seeking some ghoulishly good entertainment for the kids this half term?
Head to Ashford town centre on Saturday, October 26 for the Day of the Dead Halloween celebrations!
Taking place between 11am and 6pm, Loveashford’s great event is guaranteed to be a scream, starting with the spooktacular Halloween trail.
Collect a free Halloween trail map from The Glass House on the lower High Street, complete the route around the town by collecting letters to spell out a secret message and then head back to the Glass House to claim your prize!
From 12pm to 2pm in Park Mall there will be face painting for children, as well as the chance to make flower crowns and skull masks with Emporia Fabric and Crafts.
There is also the chance to have photos taken with a friendly scarecrow in the Pumpkin Patch zone.
And that’s not all!
They can then head down to Elwick Place where, from 2pm, they can create their own unique sugar skull with the experts at Made in Ashford.
Meanwhile, there will be a live acoustic performance of Disney’s Coco and don’t forget to watch out for the wizardly dance moves by the Harry Potter Flash Mob!
Back in the town centre you can also catch a great line-up of live music on the bandstand organised by Revelation Ashford from midday as well as Swing Noir at 12pm and 2pm, Miss Jones at 1pm and Gypskazz Trio at 3pm.
Don’t forget to look high above for the spooky stilt walkers as they roam through the town centre.
And keeping in theme with this Mexican-style fiesta, there will be Mexican street food from Taco Bill, as well lots of Mexican goodies on offer from restaurants across the town centre, including a special limited edition Mexican salad box from Salata!
And don’t worry if you can’t wait until October 24 for all the fun.
Revelation Ashford will be kicking things off for half term with a double bill of Disney films on Wednesday, October 23.
Watch the day of the dead inspired Coco at 1pm, followed by The Aristocats at 3:30pm.
Tickets cost 50p per person and can be purchased through Revelation Ashford’s website, on the door or via the Tourist Information Centre, which is located on the ground floor at Ashford Gateway Plus.
County Square is also getting into the spirit of Halloween with their Spooky Shopping event on Friday, October 25 from 10:30am to 4pm.
Spend £10 or £20 at County Square to participate in the Halloween event where you're guaranteed to win a prize.
Bring along your receipts to the Halloween witches to take part in the lucky dip.
