Wildlife Migration Day Live at Samphire Hoe, near Dover
12:00, 25 October 2016
Keep your eyes peeled this weekend for feathered migrants who make their way to and from Kent’s shores each year.
The annual Wildlife Migration Day will follow the birds, who fly in in their thousands every winter, and count and record them.
The event brings bird lovers to Samphire Hoe, near Dover, every year to be part of the project.
There will be a plotting room for live migration reports throughout the day on Saturday, October 29, and you can follow the news, appropriately enough, on Twitter with #wildlifemigrationday.
There will also be a wildlife guided walk at 10am and at 2pm.
To join the day, head to the Samphire Hoe car park, which is a pay and display site.
The event is free but donations are encouraged.
