Two brothers who run a mobile bar company have launched virtual cocktail masterclasses in lockdown and can already count two Made In Chelsea stars among their customers.
The Egerton-based Thirsty Farrier, owned and run by brothers Jon and Dan Trainer, launched the business in October 2019 but the pandemic arrived just a few months later and their events had to be rescheduled or cancelled.
With a third national lockdown, the brothers have now launched new online cocktail masterclasses, including a Valentine's Day date night package.
They have delivered more than 300 cocktail kits and virtual cocktail experiences to customers across the UK since launching in lockdown 3 – including to Made in Chelsea stars James Taylor and Maeva D’Ascanio.
Guests receive a full cocktail making kit before taking part in their class, with Dan and Jon hosting virtually from The Thirsty Farrier’s horsebox bar.
Dan said: "If there’s one thing this pandemic has taught us so far, it’s that staying in touch with friends and family is so important in maintaining a positive outlook on life in lockdown."
"With games, ice-breakers, and plenty of laughs, the classes help groups learn something new while bringing fun and joy into the home – something that’s definitely needed at the moment. "It’s a great feeling knowing we can still bring families and friends together, despite everyone being apart, and something we hope to take away from this experience is still helping people create good memories during this tough time."
The virtual classes celebrate everything from birthdays to date nights and virtual gatherings with friends and family.
For Valentine’s Day, there is a date night package, giving couples the chance to still enjoy a fun romantic evening from home.
Classes cost from £20 to £65 per person – and can include all of the equipment, ingredients and garnishes needed to create four delicious cocktails. Packages are sent in advance via contact-free delivery.
