B*Witched singer and Celebrity Big Brother contestant Edele Lynch is making her Kent stage debut in the Pirates of Treasure Island.

The family production, which is visiting three theatres in the county this spring, follows the story of Captain Smollett and his battle against an onslaught of evil pirates.

Edele, who struck fame with the girl band in the 1990s with tracks including C’est la Vie and Blame It on the Weatherman, will star as Grace.

She said: “I cannot wait to play a naughty pirate.”
