05:00, 11 November 2024

This week marks the final countdown to one of Kent’s most highly-anticipated Christmas events.

The Christmas at Bedgebury light trail will see more than a million twinkling lights transform the national park in Goudhurst for the festive season – and it opens in just a few days.

This year, the trail at Bedgebury National Pinetum and Forest will include brightly-coloured robins, luminous flowers and sparkling light tunnels.

Visitors can look out for stunning new installations, such as the floating dandelion seeds, colour-changing mushrooms and swirling galaxy sculptures, as well as returning favourites that will be familiar to people who have followed the trail in past years.

There will also be seasonal sounds played throughout the park, and visitors can catch a glimpse of Father Christmas during their visit.

The park will also have a range of street food vendors selling seasonal snacks and drinks such as spiced winter warmers, hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows.

The trail is organised by Sony Music in partnership with Forestry England and will run for just over six weeks from Friday, November 15 and runs until New Year’s Day 2025. You can book tickets online here.

Time slots are available from 4.30pm until 7pm (8pm on select evenings). The trail is open daily, excluding Christmas Day.
