A farmers' market which has been running for more than a decade will hold its first festive offering this weekend.
The newly-launched Penhurst Christmas Farmers’ Market will focus on locally-produced food and drink, with the addition of guest stallholders selling goodies including turkeys, chocolates and puddings, alongside a selection of stalls offering decorations and Christmas crafts.
The Christmas market will take place on Saturday, December 18 from 9.30am to 2pm at Penshurst Place, with shoppers entertained by carol singers throughout the day.
The special event is a new addition to the calendar of monthly markets held in the car park at the historic house
Alongside meat and game, fruit and veg, cheeses and dog biscuits, there will be seasonal specialities on offer such as Christmas puddings and mince pies, Kent-grown saffron, handmade chocolates, and crafted gifts including handmade soaps, alpaca wool knitted hats, scarves and Christmas decorations.
The Penshurst Place gift shop and plant centre will also be open, along with the Porcupine Pantry café. You can find out more here.
