Craig Revel Horwood is no stranger to the stage, but he’s now stepping into the spotlight alone with his first ever solo tour at the Orchard Theatre.
The stone-faced Strictly judge will let the mask slip as his All Balls and Glitter tour stops off in Dartford on Thursday, March 31.
The tour will see Craig, who has been part of the BBC dancing contest since it first aired in 2004, share plenty of backstage gossip from his showbiz career, all with his trademark wit and candour.
The 57-year-old performer will also talk about his life outside the ballroom, including growing up in his hometown of Ballarat, Australia, and what it was like to star in countless theatre productions such as Cats, Jesus Christ Superstar and Miss Saigon.
Craig first found his feet in Melbourne, where he performed in a production of West Side Story and appeared in several advertising campaigns, including KFC and Macleans. He then made the leap over to Europe and joined the famous Lido de Paris cabaret.
The dancer and choreographer has since become a staple of Saturday night TV in the UK as part of the Strictly Come Dancing judging panel, alongside Bruno Tonioli, Motsi Mabuse and Shirley Ballas.
He is the show’s longest-serving judge, and often shimmies onto the dancefloor with his fellow judges and professional dancers - most notably in 2019, where he performed in full drag as part of a Hello Dolly routine.
Craig is also warming up his vocal chords for the All Balls and Glitter tour, as he will perform a selection of musical numbers showcasing the songs that have been the soundtrack to his career.
With show-stopping music, sensational staging and comical, captivating anecdotes, it’s set to be a fab-u-lous evening of entertainment.
All Balls and Glitter is at the Orchard Theatre, Dartford, on Thursday, March 31. Book online here or call 03433 100 033.
