Luke Kempner's The Only Way Is Downton - a take-off of TV's Downton Abbey
12:45, 25 February 2015
Having made his name with YouTube hit Downstairs At Downton, impression comedian Luke Kempner has now turned his attention to a stage take-off of the hit TV drama.
With appearances in musicals including Les Mis and Avenue Q under his belt, seasoned performer Luke has already garnered high praise on the showbiz circuit for The Only Way Is Downton, including from real-life toff Stephen Fry, who called it ‘a splendid display of Downtonry’.
As celebrities start appearing at the abbey, cultures clash and eras hilariously collide in the parody, which takes in other popular TV shows and familiar modern voices to help the cast of Downton save the estate from financial ruin – again!
The Only Way Is Downton is at Tonbridge School’s EM Forster Theatre on Saturday, February 28, at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £14.
