The former X Factor host will be at the Greenhithe shopping centre to meet fans and celebrate the release of the new book, which is inspired by the Second World War and airbases in Essex and Kent.

Since his early days presenting shows such as Big Brother’s Little Brother and T4 to his decade-long run on the X Factor and 10 years hosting the National Television Awards, Dermot has become a familiar face for many TV viewers.

He also stepped in to present daytime show This Morning alongside Alison Hammond after the departure of Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford in 2021.

In 2017, Dermot - who married his wife Dee in Chiddingstone near Sevenoaks in 2012 - released his debut children’s book Toto the Ninja Cat and the Great Snake Escape.

The Toto the Ninja Cat series has since become a bestselling book series.
