Tuck into Tenterdine, a new 10-day celebration of Tenterden’s food and drink businesses.
The festival, which kicks off on Friday, October 14, sees a number of restaurants, bars and food and drink producers from the local area offer special events, discounts and menus for visitors.
Organised by Tenterden Town Council, Tenterdine is an opportunity for local businesses to show what they have to offer, while diners can try something new or support their old favourites in and around the town.
Special events taking place during the event include a gelato making demonstration at family run Italian cafe Bottega Montalbano, the Hopfest Beer Festival at the Old Dairy Brewery and wine and cheese pairings at Chapel Down Winery and Gusbourne Estate.
There will also be wine tasting events at The Woolpack, hosted by Balfour Winery, and at the Latte Lounge, hosted by Wayfarer Wines, and a childrens’ cake decorating workshop at EC30 Coffee Shop.
Some eateries will be offering special menus throughout the festival, such as Marino’s Fish Bar, which will be serving a hog roast bap, and Montalbano Restaurant, which is introducing seasonal specials including funghi and truffle dishes.
There will also be exclusive discounts available at some bars and restaurants, and visitors will be able to dine out at participating venues for less during the 10-day festival.
Hoof and Hook will be offering an extended set lunch menu and discounts on Chapel Down Vintage Reserve 2019 and Banjara Indian Restaurant are offering discounts on a starter, main, side dish, rice or naan and bottle of wine for two.
Visitors are advised to contact the business directly if they wish to book any of the special Tenterdine offers from Friday, October 14 to Sunday, October 23.
