Scarecrow trail through Westgate Parks, Canterbury this Saturday
00:01, 07 October 2016
Scarecrows are queuing up to be admired in Westgate Parks this weekend.
The second scarecrow trail to be held, after last year’s success, has more than 40 entries from groups including Pilgrims Hospices, Howletts and the Canterbury Umbrella Centre, as well as schools, youth groups and businesses.
Follow the trail through Westgate Gardens, Toddler’s Cove and Tannery Field in Canterbury and vote for your favourite between 10am and 4pm on Saturday, October 8.
Children can also make their own mini scarecrow to take home for £2.
Pick up a trail map for £1 from the Friends of Westgate Parks stand in the Westgate Gardens.
Presentations for the winning scarecrows will be made at 3.45pm on the main lawn.
