“Over the course of a woman’s life, there are some dramatic changes that take place,” said Dr Gail Ball.
“A lot of this is hormonal with the onset of menstruation, childbirth and the menopause.
“However, our health and hormones can change for other reasons too and this can affect our general well-being from weight and appetite to heavy and unmanageable or irregular periods to sexual health need changes.
“We believe that women deserve a choice in how they wish to manage their symptoms.
“Together we have created this event that reflects how we all would encourage a holistic approach.”
The health experts at the Well Woman event are:
Dr Marilyn Glenville PhD
Having featured on Channel 4's ‘How to Lose Weight Well’, Dr Glenville is the UK’s leading nutritionist specialising in women’s health. Dr Glenville will also shed light on how being fat around the middle increases the risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, cancer (especially breast cancer), high blood pressure and Alzheimer's.
