Alan Carr, star of Channel 4 chat show Chatty Man, will be performing the first of three intimate Kent gigs this weekend.
The comedian will be trying out new material in preparation for his forthcoming tour, Work In Progress, at Gravesend's Woodville Halls on Saturday, February 1.
A former supermarket and call centre worker, Alan has become one of the biggest names in British comedy since being named BBC Best New Stand-Up in 2001.
He shot to fame following his Tooth Fairy Live tour in 2007, with the tour's DVD becoming a Christmas bestseller.
He recently won the BAFTA for Best Entertainment Performance for his chat show broadcast on Channel 4, Alan Carr: Chatty Man.
He was also nominated at the British Comedy Awards for the 2013 King or Queen of Comedy award - but missed out to Jack Whitehall.
The comedian is also performing at Deal's Astor Theatre on Thursday, February 13 (01304 370220) and Folkestone's Quarterhouse on Saturday, March 22 (01303 858500).
Tickets for all three gigs have sold out, but returns may be available. Call each theatre's box office for details.
