A family-friendly arts festival celebrating theatre, dance and films is set to bounce back this summer, after being forced to cancel last year.
The bOing! International Family Festival, which is held in Canterbury and started in 2014, will return for the late August bank holiday weekend on Saturday, August 28 and Sunday, August 29.
The weekend of theatre, dance, films and fun for all the family, will be packed with live performances and experiences and will be held on the University of Kent campus in Canterbury.
The festival’s new director, David Sefton, said: “We are all absolutely thrilled to welcome audiences back to bOing! After unavoidably missing last year.
"We look forward to bringing back the mix of international artists, live music and film that makes bOing! such a well-loved festival and highlight of the Kent summer calendar.”
Highlights over the years have included the Luminarium and dancing JCB diggers.
Organisers are, however, planning for all eventualities this year.
Operations director, David Haigh, said: “It’s another challenging year for everyone in the events industry, and we are working hard behind the scenes on different scenarios. We are planning a socially distanced bOing! right now, but hope that we will be able to relax this if government advice changes over the coming months.”
bOing! is free to enter, with many performances outdoors. Indoor performances are ticketed. The programme will be announced in May - sign up for updates at boingfestival.com.
