One of the best-loved children’s films of all time is being turned into a stage show this summer.
The Wizard of Oz will be performed in the grounds of Leeds Castle, near Maidstone, for two days during the school holidays.
The open-air show, which is performed by touring company Immersion Theatre, is a new adaptation which features an original script and songs.
Families can follow Dorothy and Toto down the yellow brick road towards the glittering Emerald City, joined by their friends the Tin Man, Scarecrow and Cowardly Lion.
The interactive performance features lots of audience participation and gives kids a chance to get involved, helping to defeat the Wicked Witch of the West and send Dorothy home.
The show is based on the 1939 musical film starring Judy Garland.
The outdoor productions will take place on Friday, August 4 and Saturday, August 5. You can book tickets online here.
Gates for both performances open at 5pm with the show beginning at 5:30pm.
The performance will run for two hours with a 20 minute interval.
There will be snacks and drinks available to purchase, and visitors are welcome to bring their own chairs, blankets and refreshments.
