Fireworks and bonfire night displays across Kent in 2021 and how to book tickets

Fireworks displays will be back with a bang this year, after most had to be cancelled last year due to the pandemic.
Organisers expect tickets to be in demand, so here's our round-up for events across Kent to book for this year.
Kent Cricket, Canterbury
The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence, will be hosting the club’s annual fireworks evening on Friday, November 5, in partnership with Cygnet Hospital Maidstone, with a fun fair and live entertainment. Gates will open at 5pm, with the fair from 5.30pm, and Garry and Claire from the kmfm Breakfast Show hosting, as they countdown to the fireworks display scheduled for 7.15pm. Lydden Hill Race Circuit near Dover
Tickets for the fireworks on Saturday, November 6 include entry from 4pm, with action packed rallycross under a floodlit track, fire breathing Supercars, retro racers, and fireworks from around 5.45pm. Tickets are £10 online and £15 on the day, with 13s and under going free. For tickets online and more information click here.
Great Lines Heritage Park, Medway
The fireworks display will return on Saturday, November 6, with previews of the lasers from 7pm and a display and laser show, set to a movie greats soundtrack, at 7.30pm. Visitors are encouraged to walk to the fireworks and leave their pets at home. Refreshments will be available but there will be limited toilet facilities. Leeds Castle, Maidstone
One of the county's biggest displays will be back after a year away on Saturday, November 6 and Sunday, November 7, with a space theme. The display will be set to music, along with projections and lasers onto the castle, and finishing off with a mesmerising lighting finale.
Visitors can arrive from 2pm with the display starting off at 5.30pm. The accompanying music will have a space theme from Rocketman by Elton John to Starlight by Muse and Rewrite The Stars from The Greatest Showman. There will also be food and drink and visitors can send in personal messages which may feature on the castle exterior during the display. Tickets have now sold out.
Kent Life, Maidstone
The two nights of fireworks at the site in Sandling on Saturday, November 6 and Sunday, November 7 will feature activities from face painting and children’s fairground rides to a licensed bar and food and drink. The display starts at 6pm with last admission at 5.30pm, when the gates will then shut. Parking onsite cannot be guaranteed, but there is extra parking at nearby Cobtree Manor Park. Tickets cost £12 and £10 for three to 15-year-olds, with under threes free. Book here.
Hadlow Manor
The firework display on Sunday, November 7 will be the first at the hotel for two years. Tickets sold out online last time and are expected to do the same so booking early is advised. Doors open at 5pm with the display starting at 7pm. There will be a hog roast among other refreshments to buy. Tickets cost £17 for a family or £7 for adults and £3 for three to 12-year-olds with under threes free. Find out more here.
Brands Hatch Truck Racing and Fireworks
Sparks will fly on and off the track at West Kingsdown on Saturday, November 6 and Sunday, November 7. Headline racing action comes from the motorsport monsters in the British Truck Racing Championship while on the Sunday there will be fireworks, with hundreds of display trucks lining the circuit with their headlights on. The fireworks are on the Sunday only around 7.15pm, light permitting. Find out more here.
Tonbridge Charity Fireworks
The annual charity fireworks and last display will be back on Sunday, November 7 at Tonbridge Racecourse Sportsground. There will be food and drink available to buy, with the evening starting at 5pm. Entry is £6 plus a booking fee and £4 plus a booking fee for children, with under fives free. Find out more here.
Dartford Bonfire Night and Fireworks Display
The event, hosted by Dartford Lions Club, will be held in Dartford Central Park on Saturday, November 6 with a funfair, stalls and catering. Tickets are on sale in advance, with all proceeds raised going back into the community. For tickets click here.
Gravesend Musical Firework Display
The free display will be held at the Riverside Leisure Area on Friday, November 5, with a funfair from 4pm to 9pm and the fireworks at 8pm. Find out more here.
Cornwallis Academy, Maidstone
The school in Linton will hold its annual fireworks display on Friday, November 5 at 8pm. Tickets cost £12 or £6 for concessions, if booked after September. There is a discount before that. Book here.
Reuthe's, the Lost Gardens of Sevenoaks
There will be an open mic from noon to 4pm to lead into the lighting of the bonfire at 4.30pm on Saturday, November 6, which promises no loud bangs. Visitors can bring their own guys to be put on the fire. Tickets cost from £3 to £7.50. Book your tickets here.
Quex Park, Birchington
The fireworks, to be staged on Saturday, November 6, will celebrate Freddie Mercury and Queen with The Show Must Go On. The Covid-safe event is outdoors but has some entry requirements so visitors need to check the website when buying tickets, which cost from £15. Book here.
Doddington
Palace Farm at Doddington will stage its fireworks display on Saturday, November 6. Tickets for the display, which starts at 7pm with gates open from 5.30pm, cost £8 and £3 for children three to 15. Booking fees apply. There will be a licensed bar, burgers and hot dogs, and a sparkler area. Stalls will be cash only and parking will be in adjacent fields. Book at TicketSource.co.uk
Farriers Arms, Ashford
The annual Farriers Fireworks Spectacular is back this year on Friday, November 5 with a professional firework display with music, mulled wine or the pub's own Bonfire Bitter from the outside bar.
Hot food including hot dogs, homemade chilli and BBQ pulled pork baps will be available, as well as popcorn, candy floss and child safe light-ups, plus free parking. Gates open from 5.30pm with fireworks at 7pm. Tickets available here.
Wrotham Fireworks
To be held on Saturday, October 30 at Wrotham Cricket Ground from 5.30pm, with a bonfire at 6.30pm and fireworks at 7.15pm, ending at 9pm. Tickets online cost £7 for 16s and over; £4 for four to 15-year-olds and £20 for a family of two adults and three children. Over 65s are £6. Tickets on the gate (no cash)are £8 for adults; £5 for fours to 15s, £22 or a family and £7 for over 65s. Tickets are available online until 5pm on the day and all tickets are entered into the raffle. Book here.
Maidstone Grammar School
On Saturday, November 6, gates for the Annual Fireworks Spectacular open at 5pm at the leisure centre entrance.
Fireworks start at 7pm, with refreshments available to buy. Gate prices are £25 per family (two adults and up to three children), £10 per adults and £5 per student or child five and over. Parking at the leisure centre is £3 per car.
Tunstall School PTA Display
Tunstall School in Sittingbourne will hold its fireworks on Friday, November 5 with gates open at 6pm. Tickets can be purchased here.
Discovery School, Kings Hill
The school will hold its event on Saturday, November 13, with gates open at 5pm. Tickets are £8 for adults, £5 for children and under threes free. There is food available to buy and live music. Tickets can be bought here.
St Michael's, Tenterden
The fireworks display at St Michaels CEP School in Tenterden will take place on Saturday, November 20. Gates open from 5pm to 6.15pm with the professional display starting around 6.30pm. There will be a BBQ, drinks, live music and a 90s theme. Tickets are on sale at St Michaels Post Office and Brunch & Brew in Tenterden.
Paddock Wood Primary
The event at the primary school on Sunday, November 7 will feature a bar, hot food, live band, candy floss, popcorn, tombola, raffle and glow products. Gates open at 4.30pm, with fireworks at 6pm. Tickets are £5.50 each (under ones free). Book here.
