After making its debut last year, a street food and music festival is returning for a second summer.
The Medway Food and Drink Festival will be back in the grounds of the historic Rochester Castle for three days, boasting tasty treats, local drinks and live entertainment.
Visitors can expect another round of street food stalls, artisan baked goods and produce sourced from in and around Kent.
There will also be a series of live cooking demonstrations from the likes of African food expert Maria Bradford, Japanese chef Madoka from Chatham’s Petit Roll and Ian Waghorn, founder of healthy catering company Bear N Mind.
While food is the focus, there will also be plenty of entertainment to keep visitors busy over the weekend.
Bands will be performing on the outdoor main stage each day, including classic rockers Big River, covers band the LKG Trio and eight-piece soul group Loose Change.
There will also be family entertainment from children’s author Suzan Ruben-Alderton, who will be hosting a storytime session, and Froggle Parties, a variety group that will be performing puppet shows, comedy, magic, balloon modelling and bubble shows.
Children can also hop on a fairground ride or two, which will be set up in the castle grounds.
The Medway Food and Drink Festival will take place from Friday, June 7 to Sunday, June 8 at Rochester Castle. You can book tickets online here.
Tickets cost £11 for adults and under 3s go free.
