New Strictly show, Keeeep Dancing, is about to kick off its nationwide tour in Kent.

The show, which includes a number of Strictly Come Dancing professionals and former contestants, will open at the Assembly Hall Theatre in Tunbridge Wells.

The tour will also be stopping off at Canterbury’s Marlowe Theatre in July.

This latest production will give audiences a chance to go behind the glitterball and find out even more about the sparkling world of Strictly. From behind-the-scenes stories to celebrity scoops, Keeeep Dancing will be brimming with tales from the dancefloor.

“I’m very excited to continue my Strictly journey once more,” says 2020 finalist Maisie Smith. “And to be giving audiences a unique glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes at the Strictly TV show is a real treat.”

Maisie, who has recently announced her upcoming role alongside Kevin Clifton in the stage adaptation of Strictly Ballroom, will be joined by fellow contestants Rhys Stephenson and Max George.

“I can’t wait to tour with Strictly again, as I had such a blast on the arena tour,” says The Wanted singer Max. “Although this time I’ll mainly be singing, I’m sure it won’t take too much to get me back on the dancefloor every night!”

The celebrities will be led by a cast of professional dancers, including Strictly favourites Neil Jones, Cameron Lombard, Jowita Przystal and Nancy Xu.

“I’d describe it as a boutique experience – in other words, much more intimate,” says South African pro Cameron about the new show. “That suits the insight it gives into the Strictly bubble. It also means we can talk to the show’s fans more directly both through our dancing and our personal stories.”

Audiences will find out how it really feels being in the dreaded dance off, how long it takes to perfect the incredible routines in time for the live show, and how they prepare for theme weeks such as movies, musicals and Halloween.

There will be energetic group numbers, breathtaking couple routines, party anthems and all the backstage gossip from the nation’s favourite dance show.

Keeeep Dancing is at the Assembly Hall, Tunbridge Wells, on Wednesday, June 22 and the Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury, on Sunday, July 10. Find out more, including how to book tickets, here.
