Singer songwriter Alister Atkin launches his new album at Whitstable’s Royal Native Oyster Stores this weekend.
Alister, who lives in Rough Common, near Canterbury, is one of the country’s leading handcrafted acoustic guitar makers, with customers including Elbow.
But last year he stepped out of the workshop and on to the stage, releasing debut album In Tim. It featured contributions from Chris Difford of Squeeze, and award-winning Kent folk duo Brendan Power and Tim Edey.
Now Alister is back with his second album, To Evangeline, and will be performing some of its tracks with the support of the Ghost Line Carnival.
The gig starts at 8pm on Friday, November 29. Doors open at 7pm, with tickets £10.
