Spring is well and truly in the air and that can only mean daffs, longer days and lambs – lots of them.
Hadlow College traditionally hosts one of the biggest lambing weekends in the county, an event that is always a surefire hit with the kids. If it’s even possible to tire of their cute factor then also on offer is a range of local food produce, crafts and background information on the work of the agricultural college, near Tonbridge.
The event is on Saturday, March 15 and Sunday, March 16, from 11am to 4pm, with last admission at 3pm. Tickets from £3. Call 01732 850551.
Lambing season continues next weekend at New Line Learning Academy’s Young Farmer’s Club in Loose, Maidstone, on Saturday, March 22 and Sunday, March 23, also from 11am to 4pm. Tickets from £1. Call 01622 743286.
And the fun continues throughout April at the Rare Breeds Centre at Woodchurch, near Ashford, from Tuesday, April 1, until Easter Monday, April 21.
This event combines the chance to frolic with the lambs with a whole host
of Easter activities, including an egg hunt. Tickets from £8.50. Call 01233 861493.
