Geordie frontman Rob Heron and his band will be winging their way south from his native North East.

Rob Heron and the Tea Pad Orchestra have bagged themselves four gigs in the county to show off original tracks from their two albums.

The six-piece band play a mix of north western swing, gypsy jazz, hokum blues and folk – all heavily influenced by early 20th century American music.

Their live concerts feature a wide variety of instruments including the guitar, mandolin, harmonica, accordion, double bass and drums, along with Rob interacting with the audience with his witty humour.

Their debut album, Money Isn’t Everything, received a five-star review from the Daily Express, who said they cleverly mix their southern state sounds.

The group, fronted by Rob, along with Ben Fitzgerald, Tom Cronin, Colin Nicholson, Ted Harbot and Paul Archibald, will perform at various venues in Kent until August.
