After more than a year of enforced closure during the pandemic, the Historic Dockyard Chatham is back open to visitors, with exhibitions, displays and demonstrations.
To celebrate, we've teamed up with the dockyard managers to offer our readers the chance to win a family pass to the site, which lasts for a whole year.
The first exhibition since lockdown tells tales of stowaways, women masquerading as men and the pioneering women who stepped into a male-dominated world.
Hidden Heroines: the untold stories of the women of the Dockyard, which runs until Sunday, October 31, challenges the misconceptions and superstitions of women at sea, explores women’s place in war and highlights some colourful characters including Jane Austen’s sister-in-law, Fanny, and Zandra Bradley, the first female apprentice at the dockyard.
We’ve teamed up with the dockyard to give away five annual family passes, which means you can see this fascinating temporary exhibition for free, as well as enjoying all the delights of the dockyard - and you can visit as often as you like through the year.
To be in with a chance of winning, just enter here by midnight on Monday, June 28.
