Did winter even happen if you didn't ice skate?
If you don't want to be asking yourself this question come March next year, change it.
And if you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of the usual touristy spots, the Canary Wharf Ice Rink could be ideal for you.
Set amongst the business district skyscrapers in one of the world's most famous landscapes, this visitor attraction really is dazzling.
The rink itself is a generous size at 1200 square metres, so you won't be tripping over others - and yourself - to have a good-time.
There's also the Winter Terrace to enjoy, with a 30 metre wide open air viewing deck for those not quite so brave as well as the Grandstand Bar.
The bar is equipped with heaters and blankets - a very welcome touch for cold nights - while the drinks list includes festive favourites such as mulled wine and rum punch. With the bar so close, it takes away the stress of finding another venue to carry on your night.
But the unique highlight is the 40sq metre LED screen to the side of the rink, which features rolling images of landscapes and allows skaters to upload their own photos of the day to the Instagram feed.
It is the only ice rink in London to boast one.
I particularly enjoyed the colour changing rink too - something I'm sure children will love.
Location is key too - as the rink itself sits directly above the main shopping centre, so anyone visiting can make a real day of it.
I can't wait to go back.
Details
The rink will be open every day between the November 2 2018 and Saturday, February 16 2019 with the exception of Christmas Day.
