The founder of SNAAP (Special Needs Advisory and Activities Project) is looking to recruit more Play Support Workers to meet the demands on the popular charity.
Carrie Wood - who is also the manager of SNAAP - is currently in a recruitment drive in an effort to bring in more Play Support Workers at the charity in East Kent.
Formed back in 2003, SNAAP offers a big helping hand to hundreds of families throughout East Kent by assisting them in getting access to suitable leisure activities both after school and during school holidays.

"With over 22,000 disabled children in the area, there is a lot to do when it comes to helping parents take their children to public areas where they won't feel overwhelmed," said Carrie.
"Some of the ways in which we help includes providing families with support services, playschemes during the holiday periods, term time clubs and a specialist toy and book lending library.
SNAAP also rents an accessible beach hut in Whitstable and have a Portable Hoist and McClaren Major Buggy available for hire.
"Unsurprisingly, we are constantly looking to hire more staff as numbers continue to increase which is why we currently have openings for Play Support Workers at SNAAP."
The Play Support Workers will be tasked with helping out in delivering activities to disabled children and young people across East Kent.
They would typically help provide a range of stimulating activities to children and young adults including one to one support during the holiday playschemes in Folkestone, Sittingbourne and Herne Bay.
The work would be sessional, meaning that employees would work on an 'as and when' basis on a zero hours contract, usually during school holidays and at weekends.

SNAAP offers much-needed assistance for families who may otherwise decide against taking their children with special needs out because they feel more comfortable being in a controlled-environment like the one at home.
The playschemes also offer families a short break from their caring role.
Funded entirely by grants and donations, SNAAP is also reliant on volunteers for all of its services and most services would not be possible without the kind help of those donating their time to help.
