A popular meze and grill eatery in Aylesford has picked up a top prize at the recent British Kebab Awards for the second year running.

ALIM-ET - a family-run business that specialises in takeaways and a sit-down restaurant offering quality Turkish meze and grill - picked up the top prize in the Just Eat Best Takeaway Regional category at the UK’s most prestigious kebab competition after collecting the most votes.

The same business - which was founded by brothers Ali and Ahmet in Larkfield over three decades ago - had also been successful at the same awards ceremony in last year’s event.

The British Kebab Awards - in association with JUST EAT - recognise and champion the efforts of local kebab takeaways and restaurants across the UK.

“We’re extremely proud to have picked up such an honourable award once again,” said ALIM-ET manager Merve Carcabuk.

“This success once again demonstrates our dedication towards offering our customers the very best in cuisine, service and standards.

ALIM-ET employs over 25 staff including butchers, fishmongers and bakers within a Victorian-style building in Larkfield.

The restaurant sources all ingredients from reputable suppliers whilst almost all of the dishes are made in-house by the experienced chefs.
