RISE 4 Disability 2019 at the Kent Event Centre, Detling Showground in Maidstone

A huge free-to-attend event dedicated to disability and featuring over a hundred exhibitors is set to take place later this month.

RISE 4 Disability is the largest and fastest growing event of its kind in the south of England and is the ideal venue for health professionals as well as the general public.

Described as the most comprehensive regional disability event in the country, RISE 4 Disability’s aim is to unite all disability services bringing products, advice, information and even entertainment all under one roof.

This year’s event - the third in successive years - will take place on Wednesday, September 25 at the Kent Event Centre in Detling. The doors will open at 9:30am.

Exhibitors will be demonstrating the latest products assisting with everyday living along with free workshops, talks and displays.

Visitors can find supporting services and charities as well as check out the latest products and services for people with disabilities and get free access to CPD training.

Motivational speakers and industry experts will be present while there is also the opportunity to network with colleagues and peers or simply meet inspirational or interesting people.

Disabilities come in many forms and degrees, from failing hearing or eyesight to severe mobility impairments.

RISE 4 Disability exhibition & conference attracts occupational therapists, healthcare professionals and carers to families with children or adults living with a disability. Whether you are searching for advice about a grab rail or a complex wheelchair to meet your needs, this exhibition will have something to offer everyone.

The conference programme is supported by Kent CC Therapy team and is run by professionals from each county sector. This will provide the most up-to-date and relevant information for this industry sector.

A new feature to this year’s event will be the Kid’s Corner which will include a range of paediatric equipment providers.

There will also be a dedicated conference and workshop focused on children’s services.

RISE has a partnership with Kent County Council and representatives will also be in attendance for information and advice on housing, adaptations/benefits, moving/handling and a personal approach to care.
