Enjoy a nostalgic trip to the theatre as 1970s blockbuster Bugsy Malone is given a new lease of life on stage.
The show, based on the 1976 musical film, will be at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury from Tuesday, January 24 to Sunday, January 29.
You can book tickets online here or call 01227 787787.
Step into the world of mobsters, showgirls and speakeasies as this whimsical comedy musical heads out on its first ever professional touring production.
Follow Fat Sam, his rival Dandy Dan, newcomer Bugsy Malone and seductive singer Tallulah as they navigate the tricky lives of gangsters and their money-making schemes.
The family-friendly spoof is based on Alan Parker’s BAFTA-winning film, starring Jodie Foster, Scott Baio and John Cassisi.
The ‘70s musical is a parody of mobster films and real life gangsters such as Al Capone and Bugs Moran.
The film uses a cast of child actors to portray adult roles and substitutes weapons for whipped cream and custard pies.
The show mirrors the original concept of the film, but has been reimagined for the stage with a spectacular set and live music.
Fans can expect familiar songs by Oscar-winner Paul Williams including My Name is Tallulah, You Give a Little Love and Fat Sam’s Grand Slam.
This new Lyric Hammersmith Theatre production comes from the teams at Theatre Royal Bath Productions, Birmingham Rep Theatre and Kenny Wax Productions.
