The Leeds Castle Classical concert is back this weekend with thousands expected

Get your Picnics and Union Jacks at the ready

Thousands are expected to attend the Leeds Castle open-air classical concert on Saturday.

On the programme at the annual event are the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by John Rigby, who will play Nimrod, Land of Hope and Glory and all the flag-waving favourites.

The Patriot Girls, tenor James Edwards, the P&O Ferries choir, the Band of the RAF ATC Pipes and Drums and The Military Wives Choir are also on the bill.

A fly-past by a Spitfire and Hurricane, a field gun display and a stunning firework display will conclude the evening.

Most visitors are expected to arrive early and set up their picnic tables or blankets.

Doors open at 3pm and the entertainment starts at 5.30pm, with the main concert at 7.30pm

It is due to finish at 10.20pm.

Tickets cost £39 for picnickers or £49 seated.
