Someone told me to take a tissue - but I just laughed it off and didn't bother.
It's a good job my sister always has these sorts of supplies as the person was completely right.
I cried, I laughed and I loved the show - it really is just perfect.
Even though its been two decades since the women from the Yorkshire-based Women's Institute made what they thought would be a light-hearted - fundraising - nude calendar - their story has lost none of its charm.
They are known worldwide as the Calendar Girls and have been been seen by millions on stage and screen and now by me.
The story of their friendships, the relationships with their husbands and their trials and tribulations as they get ready to and become brave enough to bare all, is a heart-warming and more often than not hilarious tale.
The show is a complete package and I was happy to see there were quite a few men who had gone along to the theatre to watch the performance.
It really is impossible not to like and it truly is a very clever adaptation of the hit movie.
There are lots of moments of pure genius, wit and perfectly delivered timings and as I said at the beginning, I laughed, I cried and I laughed and laughed again.
The show is truly a tale of sorrow, joy and warmth brought together with brilliantly written songs.
Their empowering journey, which of course has such heart-wrenching grief and emotion was captured on stage by the cast perfectly.
There were astonishing performances from Denise Welsh, as Celia, Anna-Jane Casey as Annie and from Sarah Crowe as the wonderful Ruth as well as the others.
Their comic timing and impressive emotionally charged vocals just made the show the brilliant production it is.
It really is just superb.
