A Mock the Week regular is set to headline a Kent theatre’s monthly comedy night.

London-born comedian Rhys James is the latest name to appear at the award-winning Outside the Box Comedy Club night.

The comedy night will be hosted at the Stag Theatre in Sevenoaks on Saturday, January 7 from 8pm. You can book tickets online here.

Rhys James became a familiar face for his regular appearances on panel show Mock the Week, which ran on the BBC for 21 series over 17 years.

The final episode, on which Rhys appeared alongside Dara O’Brien, Hugh Dennis, Angela Barnes, Ahir Shah and Zoe Lyons, was broadcast in October.

The comedian also completed his first nationwide stand-up tour, Snitch, in 2021 and has attracted large online audiences with his YouTube channel.

Also appearing at the Sevenoaks theatre comedy night this month is Milton Jones.

The deadpan comic will be performing at the Outside the Box Comedy Club night on Saturday, January 21.
