Fans of Netflix original series Stranger Things 3 better hold on to their baseball caps and radio their best pals this weekend, as there's a taste of the popular series coming to the Kent coast.
To coincide with the launch of Stranger Things 3, Netflix UK has recreated the series’ ice cream parlour, Scoops Ahoy, as an Upside Down 1985-themed ice cream van and is taking it on tour - and will be stopping off at Dreamland in Margate on Saturday, July 13.
The Scoops Ahoy ice cream van, complete with eerie Stranger Things chimes inspired by the series soundtrack, features two sides - a 1980s ice-cream parlour in pastel pinks, blues and whites, and a dark side straight out of the programme's ‘upside-down’ world.
Scoops Ahoy will be giving away free ice cream customers throughout the day, from 10am to 4pm, including retro Coke Float, Cherries Jubilee, Banana Boat and July 4th, in keeping with the show's 80s theme.
Visitors grab free frozen treats and pose with their pals next to the van, before enjoying a day of rides and smiles inside the vintage amusement park. Dreamland Margate is free to enter, and guests pay per ride (or buy discount ride wristbands in advance).
